Welcome to the Community Alliance & Action Network! “We are here...” for you!
Essential Documents:
Because C.A.A.N. is
your community center, there ought to be complete transparency in what makes C.A.A.N. work “behind the scenes”. Here are links to the essential corporate and governmental documents that describe and regulate our governance.
Bylaws: C.A.A.N. operates under a set of bylaws that establishes who can be a C.A.A.N. member, how you can become a C.A.A.N. director, how elections are held, and how the policies within the bylaws can be amended. You can also read about various committees and what they do.
Read our by-laws here.
Illinois Secretary of State Form NFP-102.10: C.A.A.N. is organized as a not-for-profit organization under the laws of the State of Illinois. You can read the text of this document at the community center during regular business hours.
